This decade is going to be the best yet :-) The ability to tell a story can literally transform your life. It can land you a job in a crowded applicant pool, make you stand out on a first date, or be the difference between your business succeeding or failing. Today I have a very special breakdown on storytelling. Not just because storytelling is so important to charisma and life, but because I am actually in this breakdown as the interviewer. And the person I’m interviewing is without exaggeration one of the people I most admire on the planet. His name is Scott Harrison and as the founder of charity:water he has helped raise over 100 million dollars by telling stories for a good cause. So in this video you’re going to learn the 3 high level principles that will help you to tell more engaging stories in any environment. And I should warn you, these stories are heavy and contain really sad, but important messages, which is necessary when you’re talking about the truth of why charity water exists. I’m also going to let the clips run longer so you can hear a bigger part of the story uninterrupted and comment later. 2:30 Take the listener to the same emotional journey you had when storytelling 4:18 Have a mystery to keep listener engaged like Charity Water story 5:47 Have a lesson at the end for personal development as the Scott Harrison interview Subscribe to Charisma On Command’s YouTube Account: 🤍 Connect With Us Further: Website: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Or if you want to see my personal stuff (my regular life + me playing music): Instagram: 🤍CharlieHoupert

At this point communication has got to have a fundamental role in all fields, but there are fundamental limits that ought to be identified and set up in order to make the internet a safe and positive place for all. What are the internal contradictions of social networks and the role that the comedian needs to have in the internet? La comunicazione ricopre ormai un ruolo fondamentale, in ogni ambito, ma ci sono limiti fondamentali che bisogna riconoscere e creare per rendere il web un posto sicuro e positivo per tutti. How we tell stories seems to be a mysterious process that millions around the world want to be able to do, but 99.9% effectively fail. Why is it so hard for storyteller and audience to be one? What we communicate can change the lives of the writer and the audience. However, why stories matter and how to tell them better may not be as mysterious as it seems. Julian Friedmann has worked with writers for over 40 years; he believes understanding that storytelling is more about the audience than the writer will result in better storytelling. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

It’s surprisingly easy to make a confusing graph. No one sets out with that purpose, but it happens frequently—across all industries and by all sorts of well-intending people. One way to avoid this challenge is to never simply show data, but rather to tell a story with it. Former Googler Cole Nussbaumer Knaflic teaches people how to turn data into high impact visual stories that stick with their audiences. Join this engaging session, moderated by Tina Malm and Davey Nickels, where Cole features highlights from her new book, storytelling with data: a data visualization guide for business professionals. Hear about the powerful strategies that were honed through her work on the People Analytics team and the data visualization course that Cole created at Google and taught at offices throughout the US and Europe.

I wrote this song 2 years ago, when i was feeling very insecure about myself. So i liked this boy, we went out as friends, nothing romantic happened, just us sharing stories and laughs. I thought he liked me, but no. He liked someone else. It was just me and my imagination the whole time. But I really liked him, like a lot. I feel like everytime i fall in love with someone, i always got this. Things like this doesn't surprised me anymore. It's tiring but i'm used to it. Disappointments caused by a very high expectation. From that moment i stopped expecting things i should't do. I just let things happen, flows like water, it gets a little easier. Back to the story, that boy had no idea i liked him, back then. He had no clue this song was about the night we went out, normally, as friends. Nothing special, just a regular night for him. Little did he know, that wasn't a regular night, for me. That day was something else. So that is, my story. One night, she felt a very happy girl alive They shared stories, they shared laugh She wish she could freeze the time that night Expectations high up in the sky She knew something will bring her down She is disappointed, but not surprised Her heads not empty, there’s so much Shit left inside, she’s so dizzy Is it possible, are we? Her friends told her to stop Cause he already got someone to love, What can I do, how can I stop? One night, she felt a very happy girl alive They shared stories, they shared laugh She wish she could freeze the time that night Expectations high up in the sky She knew something will bring her down She is disappointed, but not surprised She used to it, she used to this Everytime she falls in love, she gets this shit She told the moon, she don’t wanna fall in love anymore Cause if this heart break, who will fix it? One night, she felt a very happy girl alive They shared stories, they shared laugh She wish she could freeze the time that night Expectations high up in the sky She knew something will bring her down She is disappointed, but not surprised This is my story I am that girl, living in the worry But I sometimes feel lonely

It's time to take a close look at the camera equipment that I use to record an episode of venture4wd, as of September 2022. As a solo creator for most of my years living on the road, I've had to be very selective about my gear. What works, and what doesn't? What kind of camera do I need? Do I need a microphone? How about tripods? I talk about the Panasonic Lumix S5, GoPro Hero 8 Black, assorted Rode microphones, Small Rig, and the Peak Design Travel Tripod. This episode features a concise list of everything you need to be a video creator, and some things you don't! 00:00 - V19E2: Camera Gear and Video Storytelling 00:53 - Panasonic Lumix S5 01:35 - A Candid Moment with Finegan 02:16 - GoPro Hero 8 Black 03:13 - A Walk in the Woods 03:48 - SmallRig Ball-Head Clamp 05:11 - Lumix S5 Scenes 05:37 - Peak Design Travel Tripod 08:11 - Jeep Water Crossing 08:32 - Microphones 09:39 - Rode VideoMic Pro+ 10:00 - GoPro Internal Microphone 10:51 - Rode VideoMicro 11:28 - Noisy Stream Comparison 12:05 - Rode Wireless Go II 12:50 - Outro JOIN US ON PATREON 🤍 PANASONIC LUMIX S5 🤍 LUMIX S PRO 24-70 F2.8 L 🤍 SMALLRIG CLAMP MOUNT 🤍 GOPRO HERO 11 BLACK 🤍 GOPRO 11 MEDIA MOD 🤍 RODE VIDEOMIC PRO+ 🤍 RODE WIRELESS GO II 🤍 RODE VIDEOMICRO 🤍 PEAK DESIGN TRAVEL TRIPOD 🤍 DISCLAIMER: This video description contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I'll receive a small commission. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
